A Gal’s Best Friend: Oversized Sunglasses
You know those nights when you’re out way too late? Then you wake up and even your eyeballs want to die? Those days, my fab, oversized sunglasses are absolutely essential. They’re the quickest cover-up I’ve got in my arsenal. And they’re even handy for protecting the delicate eye area from nasty UV rays!
This past Saturday, I was out celebrating my birthday with friends in San Francisco. It was dinner at Luna Park, which has a to-die-for kumquat mojitos, then out in the Mission for more fun and drinks! (And, yes, I ended up imbibing one too many delicious cosmos.) The next day wasn’t such a happy story, but thankfully my trusty sunglasses were there for me. As a result, I was inspired to post my three of my most favorite sunglasses below. Enjoy!
P.S. Here’s a little bit of trivia. Sam Foster is the guy who invented sunglasses back in 1929, which became all the rage by 1930.

Eco-fab: Green Your Rooms
After writing the last eco-fab blog, it occurred to me, why stop there? With all the chic, fashionable home décor out on the market today, being green doesn’t only mean good things for your closet, but for the rest of your home as well! Here are some fab finds and a couple of my most favorite environmentally friendly stores for home décor.

Wide Straps = Sexy Shoes
To tell the truth, I’ve never really been a fan of wide-strap shoes. They always seemed to be on the more grandma, clunky side of the shoe spectrum, but this season’s styles are actually surprisingly sexy! I’d pair them with a flirty mini-dress or cute cropped jeans and a summery top for an easy weekend look. Here are two fabulously wide-strapped pairs I’m considering among. Who would have thought strappy shoes would finally have some competition!

Contest: Most Embarrassing Fashion Moments!
You know you’ve had them. Moments when you’re walking down the street and realize your skirt is completely see-through or you’ve had a nasty stain unnoticed on around certain (ahem) areas.
Maybe your most embarrassing moments aren’t as titanic as those of Britney Spears’ (picture below), or the epic Tara Reed boob slip, or the wardrobe malfunction of this top designer’s wife, but we still want to hear from you! What’s your most embarrassing fashion moment? What made you just want to disappear into the floor? Click on the comments link below (then scroll down) to share your story.
Besides being able to read what everyone else has gone through and sharing your moments, you could win a cute glimpse t-shirt (think black baby t with pink detail) We’ll be choosing the two of the best stories as winners!

Hollywood’s Going Bandannas—Hot or Not?
Britney’s wearing them and so is Ashton. Bandannas are behind one of the hottest new looks in Hollywood right now.
Our fashion editor Karen says it’s a look that’s better left to Jack Sparrow, and, maybe it’s the way these celebrities are sporting them, but I completely agree it’s not a good look.
There are days when a good bandanna probably comes in handy, but not when your hair’s scraggly and flying all over the place and not if you’re a guy making an appearance on the red carpet (ahem, Ashton!) So what do you think? Is this the next trucker-hat trend?

My Weekend Getaway: Fashion from SF to LA
This past weekend, I was in LA. It was gorgeous…the beach, the sun, the shopping, the fashion! I’d forgotten how much people dress up down there. I was driving down Melrose and saw these girls crossing the street in their high heels, bright mini-dresses, and gold earrings. I love dressing up as much as the next girl, but everywhere I went, girls were dressed to the nines! Like any second, some overzealous paparazzi were going to jump out and start snapping pictures of them.
On the other hand, San Francisco’s more about a hipster, urban-trendy fashion and edgy pieces. It’s completely different from LA. I could people watch in San Francisco forever, and as fabulous as LA is, SF’s still my favorite city. You can dress down or up and somehow you’ve still able to put together the latest look.
Check out these two looks that I’ve pulled together in homage of the different styles of each city.

Hot Now: Statement Rings
I love that flashy and chunky is trendy when it comes to rings! Gone are the days when rings hung quietly around in the background, taking second place to riveting earrings or glittering bangles. This season, with all the stunning stones and gorgeous details, rings are finally taking center stage!
I love adding them as the perfect finishing touch to whatever outfit I’m putting together, day or night. Check out three of my favorite picks below!

Britney’s Bad Wig Day
What was Britney thinking when she decided to take a ride in a convertible looking like this? Her wig’s almost falling off and looking like a rat’s nest. My eyes are glued to that snarly mess, but I just..need to…turn away! Even her sunglasses are looking a bit buggy to me. The earrings are cute, but then again they’re hoops, and you can’t ruin hoops. But what do you all think? Any thoughts?
